Lately, I seem to be kicking some major booty in the kitchen. I thought I would share a weekly recipe roundup that might help to shorten your time in the kitchen, but score major points with your family. This weekly recipe roundup will feature the dishes I have cooked for my family this past week.
We try to eat on the healthier side, so know most of the recipe roundup will be healthy options you can try with your families. I am always trying to incorporate some vegetarian meals so be on the lookout for that to come over to the weekly recipe roundup soon.
This was our first ever Instant Pot meal. And boy was it easy, and it delivered. I mean all the kids devoured, which doesn’t happen often in our household. I followed all directions to a tee. I was a little nervous using the Instant Pot for the first time, but it was super easy. It’s my favorite purchase for 2018 up to date. You can find them everywhere, but Amazon has them competitively priced on the daily to really match any coupon deal on other sites.
You can find the one we purchased here. It is the very base model.
And now for the rest of our weekly recipe roundup…
Of all the recipes I have cooked this week, this one took the longest. I think most of that was due to the prep work with chopping the broccoli, mushrooms (I decided to add), and chicken.
Also, when I added the flour and milk mixture I ended up adding about a 1/2 cup more of chicken broth, due to the thickness. Feel free to add more to your liking, if your consistently is a little thicker than you would prefer.
I haven’t actually made these yet, but shared them over on my FB page and they seem to be a hit with a lot of ladies. I’ll report back about these. They are on my list for the weekend to make.
This Instant Pot taco meat was delicious!!! We used the meat the first night for street tacos with some avocado and pico, and the following day in taco salads. This will likely be our ground beef/turkey fix for the week. We tend to do more chicken than any other meat. I followed the directions exactly. You need to try this recipe!!!
I’d love to hear some of your family’s favorite go to recipes, Instant Pot or not!
Feel free to link them in the comments!
